Design of Experiments Overview
Unlike electronic or mechanical technologies, for most biomedical technologies there are no theoretical models that can be used to predict process performance. Properly designed experiments are a powerful tool use to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of testing. Very useful empirical models can be derived from these approaches. Frequently, researchers use "best guess" or one-factor-at-a-time approaches in their investigations. Increasingly, researchers are finding there is a superior methodology. Experimental design techniques are a powerful approach for assuring the data collected is rich in information. By combining solid knowledge of the technology with powerful orthogonal arrays, Launsby Consulting has taken the best of experimental design, blended in real case studies from the biomedical community, and created a revolutionary seminar for biomedical clients.
